Our Story
Make SB
Come. Let us tell you a story from the streets. Not the Westlands you know. Not the towers, not the lawns. The other side — where a skateboard can change the direction of a life.
Our Mission
To provide free access to skateboarding sessions, sports for all, and all necessary equipment—ensuring every child and youth has the opportunity to participate, express themselves, and grow.
Our Vision
A Kibagare where every young person has access to quality programs, mentorship, and opportunities to thrive. We envision a world-class skateboarding community in Nairobi that inspires and connects youth across Kenya and Africa.

Come. Let us tell you a story from the streets
Picture a narrow dusty road in Westlands, Nairobi — but not the Westlands you know. No malls. No manicured lawns. This is Kibagare. Here, kids grow up navigating what no child should — drugs on the corner, crime at the doorstep, financial hardships that make life feel like a cruel joke. Most won't make it past high school maybe — university feels like a world that wasn't built for them. The lucky ones find something to hold on to. The rest? The streets decide for them.
The moment we no longer had access to the skatepark and skateboards, it was difficult for us to continue skating. We didn't have our own equipment — and that's where most of us took different paths." Different paths. That's the quiet way of saying it. What it really means is: when a kid in Kibagare loses the one thing keeping them on course, the streets are right there waiting. That story doesn't just repeat — it echoes through every generation.
So we put boards under their feet. Make SB exists so that no kid in Kibagare has to take a "different path" because they were locked out. Free sessions. Free equipment. A safe space. We're not asking permission and we're not waiting — we're out here, every week, alongside passionate skateboarders and volunteers, turning concrete into possibility and kids into the strongest versions of themselves.
